Relax, Revive & Reset

Positive Solution Therapy usually consists of 8 to 12 weekly sessions. It is a style of therapy that works with the here and now, and how we would like our lives to be. It’s different to longer term therapies in that we don’t focus on or relive past experiences that can be stressful. Positive Solution Therapy combines deep relaxation techniques with well-being tools and positive mindset reprogramming to help clients feel more positive, motivated, confident and more relaxed to cope with life’s challenges.

 

Positive Solution Therapy can help address addictions such as sugar, smoking and drinking habits to help clients live healthier, happier lifestyles. It’s an enjoyable process and is life changing for children, young people as well as adults. Hypnotherapy can help improve your life in many ways and on many levels.

How Positive Solution Therapy works

When we're feeling happy and relaxed, we're in the front part of the brain (the Pre-Frontal Cortex) and have a lovely flow of feel-good chemicals such as serotonin. We can think logically, make healthy choices, be brave and and cope well with whatever is going on in our busy lives and find solutions to problems. We're able to accept situations that we can’t change, and change situations that we can calmly, with a positive mindset.

 

However, when we are stressed, anxious or have negative thoughts our primitive brain takes over. This brain is our survival fight, flight, freeze part of the brain, which is essential for our survival and to protect us. For example, if we are in a dangerous situation or perceive we are in a dangerous we need to hide stay away, which is the modern symptomology of depression. Our ancestors in the ancient past had to fight dangerous animals, tribes, part of our primitive brain the Hypothalamus floods us with stress hormones such as cortisol ready to fight. In modern times this is linked with stress and tension and aggressive behaviour.

 

Our ancestors had to be hyper vigilant to stay safe in dangerous environments. Unfortunately, in modern times too life can be stressful and we are in a constant state of anxiety and alert, flooded with constant stress hormones. In this state we can see life from the worse perspective, feel anxious and fearful and stuck. In this primitive Brain state, we have also learned and stored habits that are sometimes unhelpful to our well -being. 

 

By using positive thinking techniques and helping you to discover your own unique resources to maintain a positive healthy mindset. With techniques such as noticing the positives in life, making small changes each week towards creating a happier healthy life, breathing and meditation programmes. A main part of each session is deep trance relaxation. This deep relaxation helps alleviate stress and tension, helps with sleep and is restorative to the mind and body.

 

Once in the deep trance state the mind can take in new information to overcome challenges and to create new ways of becoming the person we want to be. Relaxed, confident and thriving and able to live life on your terms.

I trained with the Clifton Practice of Hypnotherapy and I'm a registered member of AFSFH. I'm an accredited member of Registrar in Hypnotherapy.
